Meet the Owner and Support

Sensible Homestead is a woman owned and family supported business that provided friends, family and neighbors with clean, nutritious and homegrown or homemade food before becoming a business supplying the Vista Community with fresh microgreens.

Jessica Sensenbaugh is the proud founder and owner of Sensible Homestead with the support of her husband, Jonathan Sensenbaugh, their five fur babies, and thirty-ish quails in their little urban homestead, right in Vista. Jessica is a local middle school woodshop teacher in Vista that is passionate about teaching students to follow their aspirations through hands-on experience and creativity. When Jessica is not teaching, she enjoys sharing her knowledge about gardening and sustainability with anyone willing to listen. There is nothing Jessica isn’t willing to try or learn.
